Frequent questions

How much is the deposit and when do I get it back?
The owner sets the deposit, and you see it next to the price before booking. For rentals of up to 7 days it can be held on your card: the bank reserves the amount but does not charge it. The other option is cash to the owner at pick-up, which must be returned within 14 days of the car coming back. A deduction is possible only on a documented claim, and you have 72 hours to object.
Which documents do I need?
An ID card or passport (a karta pobytu works for foreigners) and a driving licence. You upload photos once in your profile and show the originals at pick-up.
Is the car insured?
Every car in the catalogue has valid OC insurance that we checked. Whether it has AC and what the excess is, is stated in the car's terms. You sign the rental agreement with the owner.
Is there a mileage limit?
It depends on the car: the owner sets the limit and the price for each km above it. You see both on the car card before booking.
Can I cancel?
The owner sets the cancellation terms, and you see them before sending a request. If the owner declines or does not reply within 24 hours, an online payment is refunded automatically.
What is the minimum age?
The owner sets the minimum age and driving experience. If the car's terms do not say, ask in the chat before booking. In Poland it is usually 21 and one year of driving.
Is a foreign licence OK?
An EU licence always is. A non-EU licence is valid in Poland for 6 months from the start of your stay; after that it has to be exchanged for a Polish one.
How do I pay?
The car card shows how: by card online through a payment operator, or in cash to the owner if they accept it. We do not store card details.
